Civil Liability Certificate (CLC)

Civil Liability Certificate (CLC) :

A Civil Liability Certificate must be kept on board every Liberian registered vessel that carries more than 2,000 tons of oil in bulk as cargo, in accordance with the provisions of Articles VII of the 1992 International Convention on Civil Liability for Oil Pollution damage.

A Civil Liability Certificate will be issued when the following have been received:

  1. Blue card, in electronic copy (issued by the vessel’s P&I Club);
  2. Email request to info@darlowinsurance.com for Civil Liability Certificate issuance specifying vessel name(s) and official number(s), including the address to which the certificates should be sent.

A Civil Liability Certificate is Renewed Annually and should be Renewed before the 20th February.
